A Lifetime in the Company of Beautiful Things
Beyond Expression Antiques was founded on a simple conviction: that the finest American Victorian furniture and decorative arts deserve to be found, preserved, and loved again.
Our Story
Beyond Expression Antiques opened its doors in Mesa, Arizona in 1987, born from a lifelong passion for the extraordinary craftsmanship of the Victorian era. What began as a personal collection grew into one of the Southwest's most respected destinations for American antiques.
For nearly four decades, we have traveled estate sales, auctions, and private collections across the country — searching for pieces that speak: a walnut bedroom suite with its original marble tops intact, a Steuben art glass vase still brilliant after a century, a sterling silver tea service bearing the marks of a great American silversmith.
Every item in our shop has been personally selected, researched, and authenticated. We believe that knowing a piece's history is part of what makes it worth owning.
Our Specialties
We focus on American Victorian antiques from approximately 1840 to 1910 — an era of unmatched ambition in American decorative arts.
American Victorian Furniture
Bedroom suites, parlor sets, dining room pieces, and office furniture in walnut, mahogany, oak, and rosewood. We specialize in complete suites with original hardware and finish.
Art Glass & Cut Glass
Steuben, Lalique, Tiffany, and American Brilliant Period cut glass. Each piece is examined for condition, authenticity, and the quality of its light.
Porcelain & Decorative Arts
European and American porcelain, majolica, Nippon, and fine decorative objects. We look for exceptional painting, gilding, and form.
Victorian Silverplate & Sterling
Flatware, hollowware, tea services, and presentation pieces by Rogers, Gorham, Reed & Barton, and other great American makers.
Antique Lamps
Oil lamps, early electric lamps, and parlor lamps with original shades. We carry both working and display examples.
Estate & Provenance Pieces
Items with documented history, family provenance, or notable exhibition records. We maintain records for every piece we sell.
